Today i wore one of my all time favourite jumpers. This is one mean feat if you are one of my jumpers - to be referred to as a favourite jumper - for there are many and i am a harsh judge. This is mostly an inside jumper - for lazy film afternoons, for cosy-ing up on the sofa for hot chocolate and for not really doing much at all. It is many sizes to big, and also rather bobbly and mis-shapen. I think i love it more now than when i first bought it.
Whenever i wear it i feel a little bit Sixties. I can imagine kohling my eyes and twirling myself to Dusty Springfield or the like. It is a jumper you can escape in: one you can fit both knees curled up into, roll the sleeves up or tuck your hands up inside, wear with black leggings or just soft little knees and bare feet.
Tonight i shall make something cosy to eat with mashed potato and leeks; because it is raining outside and blowing a gail. Then we are going to lie and eat cherry liqueurs. I am unhealthily excited about this.
I feel like it's Autumn. Just.
Jumper: Gharani Strok, years ago. Leggings: Accessorize £12. Silk Scarf: Accessorize £12.
